In April, we started our driver license academy at the Marae, where we held classes for learner, restricted, and full licenses. In our classes we go over mock theory tests for learner classes and for our restricted and full classes, we go out on the road for practical test. Before lockdown we helped 79 people receive their license, including 50 Māori, from as young as 16, to as old as 56, including a 54-year-old who finally received her learner license with the help of our classes. Currently, classes are postponed until further notice.
